Terminated

I arrived at work today, hungover, but glad it was Friday. Little did I know it was the last time I would be forced to look forward to Fridays for awhile.

The company at which I've worked for the last two years, the entirety of my life since moving to Los Angeles, now no longer exists. Poof! This means it's time for a few things:

- Time to see how much cash the government is willing to throw at me while I figure this shit out. Somewhere, Trump just felt a flash of anger and took it out on a blind homeless person, undoubtedly.

- Time to laugh at how many people are going to loath the parent company that decided to get rid of the majority of its customer service branch on a whim. If you purchased a children's tablet that rhymes with "hobby" and you're having some problems with it or have recently sent it in for repair...tough break. I'd suggest turning to a higher power.

- Time to stop living like I have a guaranteed paycheck every two weeks. Maybe a good time to start drinking less (except tonight, of course.)

- Time to find ways to make rent while furthering my comedy career, because, after all, that's why I moved here. Not to work for an hourly wage making a handful of rich cunts even richer.

- Time to see if I can turn this lay off into a pay off. Artistically speaking, not financially (please send money.)

To all of my fellow ex-employees at "hobby chairs" who were also shit all over by the big, disgusting, pimply ass of corporate America today, I know it sucks, but it's going to be alright. A job is a job is a job is a job. And really, that place was kinda whack aside from how cool the people were, right?

Here's to new beginnings. And drinking.

PS: The last two songs I listened to in the car before work were Iron Maiden's "Hallowed Be Thy Name" and The Who's "The Song is Over." Interpret that however you will.
